Goes to Cannes is a unique showcase bringing together film festivals & markets from all corners of the globe. Discover their curated selection of original works-in-progress, presented in Cannes by today’s most promising talents!

Every year, the Marché du Film offers film festivals (or markets) the exclusive opportunity to curate and host their own exclusive showcase in Cannes. This lineup features films in various stages of post-production, teeming with diversity, new cinematic expressions and cultural nuances from different regions worldwide.

This dynamic program gives international talents a stage to pitch their creative visions and connect their projects with potential sales agents, distributors, and festival programmers. It also serves as a promotional platform for festivals and markets to highlight their individual events and year-round activities.

Above all, Goes to Cannes offers Marché participants a unique and easily accessible environment to engage with different film festivals and markets from around the world and discover new international talents, all within the vibrant setting of Cannes!

2026 PARTNER FESTIVALS

Festival do Rio | Brazil

15 May, 10:00-11:50 (Palais K)

Festival do Rio – Rio de Janeiro Int’l Film Festival is Latin America’s largest film festival and gathering of industry professionals. Since its creation in 1999, more than 7,000 films have been screened, including winners at Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Venice and others. A core program of the festival, Première Brasil is recognized as the country’s main window for Brazilian cinema.

Tokyo International Film Festival | Japan

15 May, 12:00-13:50 (Palais K)

Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF), the only Japanese film festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF), celebrates its 39th edition this year. TIFF, which includes a feature-length film competition at its core, is also one of the leading film festivals in Asia and attaches importance to discovering and cultivating new film directors as well as presenting internationally acclaimed titles.

Adelaide Film Festival | Australia

Adelaide Film Festival (AFF) is South Australia’s premier screen event and a leading Australian film festival. Held annually in October, it showcases bold cinema, local and international premieres, red carpet events, exhibitions, talks, and parties. AFF also supports the industry through initiatives like the AFF Investment Fund, which invests in Australian productions, launches careers, and promotes local stories globally.

Tallinn Black Nights | Estonia

Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) is Northern Europe’s only FIAPF-accredited competitive feature film festival with two sub-festivals, Just Film and PÖFF Shorts. PÖFF is one of the biggest film festivals in Northern Europe and the busiest regional industry platform. The 30th edition will take place from 6-22 November 2026, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, will run 9-20 November 2026.

Africa International Film Festival | Nigeria

The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is an annual film festival held in Lagos, Nigeria, founded in 2010 by Chioma Ude. It promotes African and diasporic cinema through film screenings, awards, industry conversations, and professional development. AFRIFF brings together filmmakers, producers, and global industry stakeholders, and in 2025 expanded its scope with the AFRIFF Film & Content Market to support financing, co-production, and distribution.

Hong Kong — Asia Film Financing Forum

HKIFF Industry offers filmmakers all-around services and windows to the world. From polishing up projects (Film Lab), finding production and post-production assistance (HAF), to showcasing work-in-progress works in international platforms (HAF Goes to Cannes), and on to planning the career of finished films (HKIFF Collection). HKIFF Industry also engages in co-production of films with third parties.

Ventana Sur | Argentina

18 May, 10:00-11:50 (Palais K)

Ventana Sur is the most important market for audiovisual content in Latin America, and it is a must in the schedule of distributors and buyers from the international industry. Since 2009 the event was organized by the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes and the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) Film and recently the Uruguayan Film and Audiovisual Agency (ACAU) joined in to organize the market in Uruguay for the first time.

AWARDS

Presented by Sideral Cinema

Sideral Cinema is a Spanish film studio, specializing in the sales and distribution of international independent films. They will offer one lucky project an MG (minimum guarantee) of €10,000. The award recipient will be revealed during the Goes to Cannes Lunch amidst the partnering festivals and selection participants.

Presented by Ciné+ OCS

Ciné+ OCS is a subscription service offering French television channels focused on cinema. It was created by the Orange telecommunications group in 2007. Ciné + OCS is joining Goes to Cannes in 2026 to present a new award for French co-production projects, worth €15,000.
