Golden Horse

Started in 1962, the Golden Horse Festival in Taiwan, featuring the Golden Horse Awards, honors excellence in Sinophone cinema. Referred to as ‘The Oscars of Asia’ by the BBC, the Golden Horse Film Festival celebrates filmmakers such as Hou Hsiao-hsien, Edward Yang, Ang Lee, and Tsai Ming-liang. The festival serves as a global platform for the celebration of diverse world cinema, facilitates film promotion, connects filmmakers with investors, and the film academy provides a platform for new talents to share their visions with industry professionals.
