Synopsis:

I meet Pierrot at the fall 2018. A few weeks later, we demonstrate together in the heart of the Gilets jaunes movement. The earth is shaking and our hearts as well. Our impulse is blending with the one of thousands of other ones who express their anger in the street every Saturday, for months. But how to conciliate free love and revolution, when everything around is stopping us ?

Director’s profile:

Born at Paris, Laurie Lassalle lived a nomadic childhood between France and Nigeria. Movie editor and musician, she directs various musical clips.
In 2014, she directs her first fiction medium-length film, LES FLEUVES M’ONT LAISSE DESCENDRE OU JE VOULAIS, (selected at the Semaine de la Critique of Cannes).
In 2016, she directs JE SUIS GONG with the Mille Visage Association, shot in the Grande Borne city with young people living there.
She’s actually developing a scenario of fiction feature film, co-wrote with Lucille Dupré, FELINES. With this project, she’s a laureate of the writing scholarship Beaumarchais, of Next Step, then resident at the Moulin d’Andé (2015), at the Torino Film Lab (2016), at the Premiers Plans workshop (2017) and So Film de genre (2018).
Today, this two documentaries in progress, FORET ROUGE and UPRISING, are produced by Les Films de l’oeil sauvage.
