Synopsis:

When Chema meets Claudia he thinks his luck has changed. He is madly in love, patiently waiting for her to realize. She’s good fun, really pretty and what’s more important; she seems to be interested in him. The problem arises when it becomes clear that Claudia does love Chema, she loves him very, very much …“as a friend”.

Director’s biography:

Borja Cobeaga (1977) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter nominated for an Academy Award for his Short Film One Too Many. The Friend Zone, his first feature film, is a cult movie in Spain. Borja with Diego San Jose are the most respectful comedy scriptwriters in Spain, their film Spanish Affairs is the biggest local film hit ever with a B.O above € 60 million. The Friend Zone is their first feature film script, really well engineer and universal story full a clever a really funny gag.

Producer’s biography:

Tomás began his professional career as a film programmer at Canal Plus Spain. In 1996 he began his career as a producer, and to date he has been responsible for more than twenty-five feature films, including some of the great recent successes of Spanish cinema: The Other Side of the Bed, Torremolinos 73, The Erased Footprints, Football Days, Pagafantas, Bad Day to Fish, The Warm, Wolves of Arga, etc.
