Synopsis:
While working as a food deliveryman, Antoine, an aspiring rapper from suburban Paris, meets Mrs. Loyseau, a renowned Paris Opéra teacher. Struck by his raw talent, she introduces him to opera. Fearing his friends and family won’t understand, Antoine hides his new dream. Caught between the rigid Parisian elite and his free-spirited roots, he struggles with his double life — until he must find his own voice.
Director’s biography:
Claude Zidi Jr., a French director and screenwriter, is the son of Claude Zidi. He started with short films before directing Les Déguns (2018), followed by Tenor (2022) and Les Déguns 2 (2023). In 2024, he released Maison de retraite 2 (1.55 million admissions in France). He also co-wrote Divorce Club (2020).
