Synopsis:

A brilliant mathematics student at France’s top university the Ecole Normale Supérieure. On the day of her thesis presentation, a mistake shakes up all the certainty in her planned-out life, she decides to quit everything and start afresh.

Director’s biography:

Anna Novion, born to a Swedish mother and a French father, began her filmmaking journey while studying at the faculty of Saint-Denis. Crafting three short films between 2000 and 2004, she later delved into the works of Ingmar Bergman, culminating in a theoretical DEA. In 2008, her feature debut “Les grandes personnes” garnered acclaim at the International Critics’ Week. Novion’s storytelling, marked by empathy, explores the complexities of human relationships with simplicity and humor.

Producer’s biography;

Miléna Poylo and Gilles Sacuto, founders of TS Productions in 1996, have led the charge in French and international filmmaking. With Anthony Doncque, Alice Bloch, Céline Loiseau, and Delphine Morel, they’ve produced 40 feature films, 60 documentaries, TV fictions, shorts, and ventured into series. Their accolades include 7 Césars for “Séraphine,” a César for Best Adaptation for “Mademoiselle Chambon,” and nominations for Oscars, César, and BAFTAs. Recent successes include “Tel Aviv on Fire,” awarded Best Actor at Venice, and “Sur l’Adamant,” winning the Golden Bear at the Berlinale.
