A New Generation of International Sales

Cannes Makers focuses on every step of the international sales process.

This latest initiative by the Marché du Film invites participants to discover the different professions within the global film market that help bring a film from script to screen, while also addressing the issues impacting the industry today, such as diversity, inclusion, representation, and sustainability.

Through this new mentoring program, our aim is to shape the new generation of film industry leaders by fostering collaboration across borders, connecting our participants with key industry experts and nurturing their drive to thrive!

Cannes Makers Program

How does it work?

A 3-day training program starting on 22 May 2023 in Cannes. Each candidate will be matched with an industry expert who will be their go-to support system in Cannes and guide the participant by helping them develop their strengths, boost confidence and build the professional relationships that are key to such a career.

Who is it for?

Cannes Makers will bring together a maximum of 8 young film industry professionals, students and/or interns, mostly from Europe. The program encompasses all professions related to international sales, distribution, and international promotion. Applicants must be under 30 years old.
