The Marché du Film is proud to announce the 5 international emerging composers selected to participate in its brand-new 2026 pilot program, Composers on the Rise.
As part of the Spot the Composer program, this new initiative is designed to spotlight a new generation of musical talent and offer them a unique opportunity to attend Cannes through a curated professional experience aimed to foster new collaborations and support the next step in their careers.
Throughout the program, participants will take part in exclusive one-on-one meetings with short film directors, a case study led by a Spot the Composer alumnus, as well as an exclusive masterclass with Eiko Ishibashi — award-winning film composer (Drive My Car, Evil Does Not Exist) and Godmother of this year’s composer program — whose role will be to offer valuable advice and concrete insights into a professional career path in film scoring.
Beyond these encounters, selected composers will also receive a complimentary one-year DISCO subscription, along with exclusive Roland support, including a voucher and access to Roland Cloud Ultimate. These tools are designed to further empower participants in their creative process and open up new professional opportunities in the field of film music.
This year’s selected Composers on the Rise are:
- Célyne Baudino | France
- Pei Chin Lee | Taiwan
- Daniella Nassar | United Kingdom
- Jukka Rintamäki | Finland, Sweden
- Avran Thépault | France

The Composers on the Rise is part of the Spot the Composer program, organized by the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA and in association with DISCO.
