Do you have suggestions of how I should book accommodations in Cannes?

There are a number of lodging possibilities in Cannes in close proximity to the Marché. You can find and consult a list of hotels at the Cannes Tourism Office.

For hotels, please consult bnetwork, which offers a secure and convenient booking platform for Cannes accommodations.

For apartments, please contact our official partner Immosol, who offers apartments with hotel services within your budget and a 5-10% discount on select apartments if you show proof of Marché accreditation.

Beware of fraudulent accommodation providers.

Marché participants have reported falling victim to fraudulent accommodation providers presenting themselves under names such as: Allen & Stratton Events, Business Travel International, Cannes Event, Capital Exhibitions, Concierge PLus group, Europ Concierge Net, Euro Events, Euro Events Expo, Expos-International, Expo Travel Group, Global Living Group, ITC Today, Krystel Karam International, Originata Event, Premier Destinations, Riviera Luxury Limousines, Riviera Network, Splash Ilc, Splendor, Splendor Global, Star Eventz, The Ultimate Living Group, Universal Event Solutions Limited, Universal Show.

If you receive requests or notifications from any of the aforementioned, please be extremely careful. For all of your lodging reservations, we strongly recommend that you book with one of our partners to avoid fraud.

How do the frauds work?

  • A fraudulent venture repetitively emails the participants with offers (apartment, hotel, room, transportation… )
  • Their website and/or emails mention the Marché du Film, Festival de Cannes, or the Palme d’Or name and logo, creating what looks like a trustworthy environment.
  • They promote attractive deals with local providers.
  • Once payment has been received, the fraudulent companies can no longer be contacted and there is no possibility of having payment reimbursed.

🔔 Reporting fraud: if you suspect any fraudulent activity, please let us know.

REGISTRATION AT THE MARCHÉ DU FILM

What is the difference between a Festival de Cannes badge and a Marché du Film badge?

A Festival de Cannes badge grants access to the professional areas (Palais des Festivals, Riviera, Pantiero), film screenings of the Official Selection and those from the parallel sections (Directors’ Fortnight, Semaine de la Critique, ACID). This badge does NOT grant access to market screenings hosted by the Marché du Film.

A Marché du Film badge includes the same benefits of a Festival badge PLUS exclusive Marché benefits, including access to market screenings hosted by the Marché du Film (held inside screening rooms at the Palais des Festivals or at local cinemas in Cannes), depending on the badge type and subject to seat availability. The Marché badge is generally reserved for buyers, sales agents and distributors but any company may purchase a Marché badge provided its film-industry-related activity is formally approved.

Certain professional categories are required to submit their registration request through the Marché du Film. To determine whether you belong to one of these categories, please consult the list of professionals and their classification.

Since the Marché du Film badge includes all Festival participation rights and access to screenings, it is not necessary to apply separately to the Festival if you submit your request through the Marché du Film.

To learn more about the different advantages associated with each badge, please visit: Registration

How can I register for the Marché du Film?

Registration for the Marché du Film can only be completed through My Account, where you can submit your request and upload the documents needed to confirm your professional experience.

Please note that actors are not eligible for a Marché du Film badge, but may apply for a Festival badge.

Can I register for the Marché du Film onsite in Cannes?

Yes, you can also register in person, onsite in Cannes.

Late registration requests must be submitted at the Marché du Film Registration Office, located at the Gare Maritime. Please note that onsite registration may involve long waiting times, as many participants apply in person. We therefore strongly recommend submitting your registration request online as early as possible, before the website closes on 27 April 2026 (registration opens on 2 February).

Please note that to register for the Marché du Film, you must have current professional activity in the film industry. Each application is carefully reviewed, and information about participating companies is regularly updated to ensure they are still active and engaged in ongoing projects.

The same documents required for online registration must be provided. These documents must demonstrate your company’s activity and your role within it, enabling our Registration Department to verify the legitimacy of your company in  the audiovisual industry.

A valid ID is also required when collecting your badge.

Please note that actors are NOT eligible to register for a Marché du Film badge, but may apply for a Festival badge.

Is there a special accreditation for buyers?

No, there is no specific buyer accreditation to purchase. When registering, buyers should apply for the standard Marché du Film badge.

However, the Marché du Film has a unique process to identify active buyers. If selected, you can enjoy exclusive advantages.

Become a Certified Buyer (for all regular and active buyers)

If your company is recognized as a Certified Buyer in our database, you may benefit from a “buyer status” on your market badge, granting you exclusive benefits:

  • Invitations to exclusive events (e.g. opening breakfast, afterworks)
  • Fast-track access to the Palais des Festivals
  • Dedicated support and access to a special contact email

To learn more, please visit: Buyers Initiatives

How to become a Certified Buyer?

Step 1: Regularly update your Cinando profile with your latest acquisitions (click here). Our expert committee will review your company’s eligibility based on this information.

Step 2: If your company meets the criteria, you will receive confirmation at the end of April. You will then need to designate on Cinando which staff members are domestic buyers.

Once your Marché du Film registration is completed, your staff designated as “domestic buyers” or “domestic & international buyers” will automatically receive a “buyer status” on their market badge.

Priority Badge Eligibility (for the most active buyers only)

Certified Buyers with a strong track record and ongoing activity in film markets may be selected to receive a Priority Badge, granted exclusively by the Marché du Film Registration Office.

This selection is made in April by our team, based on market activity. There is no application process.

If your company is selected, you will receive an email a few days before the event, indicating how many complimentary Priority Badges have been allocated to your company. You will then be able to assign these badges to your staff members directly from My Account.

Each selected company may receive one or two complimentary Priority Badges. If at least one free Priority Badge is granted, you may also purchase up to two additional ones for accredited team members.

The Priority Badge grants extended exclusive benefits:

  • Priority access to all Marché du Film screenings
  • Access to a dedicated quota for screenings in Debussy, Varda, Buñuel, and Bazin
  • Priority booking for screenings from the parallel sections: Directors’ Fortnight, Semaine de la Critique, ACID
  • Unlimited access to The Lounge, our dedicated space for both work and relaxation, where you can do business in a cozy setting or simply recharge

What are the eligibility conditions to be part of the Producers Network?

Registration is restricted to producers whose primary activity is film production and who, within the past four years, have produced at least one feature-length film that has received a commercial theatrical release or has been acquired by a global video-on-demand streaming platform (SVOD) under an exclusive distribution agreement included in the platform’s catalogue.

Films released online through self-distribution, paid access models, or models in which the producer finances distribution on a platform themselves are not eligible.

Festival screenings will not be accepted as a theatrical release.

Applicants must provide proof of their personal credits as a film producer (and not solely those of their companies). Official supporting documents may be required to complete the request (contracts, film documents with up-to-date credits, etc.).

The term “Producer” is understood as follows:

  • In France (and in French-speaking Europe): producer, executive producer (“producteur délégué”) or co-producer (official co-production), excluding: line producers, associate producers, production managers and production assistants.
  • In the USA: producer, excluding: co-producers, executive producers, associate producers, line producers, production manager, and production assistants.
  • All other countries: producer or co-producer (official co-production), excluding: executive producers, line producers, associate producers, production managers, and production assistants.

Registration is confirmed only once the Producers Network team has verified that all eligibility criteria are met.

If the Producer fails to comply with the registration requirements (production credit, theatrical release, number of registered producers, etc.), the Producers Network registration fee (€ 89, excluding taxes) will be retained as an administrative fee.

The Producers Network is limited to 370 participants, and registration for this program may therefore close without prior notice. Please note that all Producers Network activities are conducted in English, and translators/interpreters are not permitted.

I am not a professional in the film industry. Can I still take part at the Marché du Film?

Please note that registration for the Marché du Film is strictly reserved for professionals actively working in the film industry.

However, film enthusiasts aged 18 to 28 can experience the Official Selection through the Festival de Cannes’ 3 Jours à Cannes (3 Days in Cannes) program.

For eligibility requirements and further information about the program, please visit: Accreditations.

When and where can I collect my Marché du Film badge?

Badges will be available for collection starting 11 May 2026 at the Registration Office, located at the Gare Maritime (just outside the Palais des Festivals).

The opening hours are 8am – 8pm on 11 & 12 May, and 9am – 6pm from 13 May onwards.

You must wear your badge at all times during the Marché du Film, both within the Festival area and to access Marché du Film screening venues.

A valid ID is also required to collect your badge.

🚫 Please note that your badge will display your full name, and it is strictly forbidden to lend, give, or exchange it with another person.

How do I apply for a Day Pass?

If you plan to stay in Cannes for only a few meetings, you can apply for a Day Pass, valid for up to 3 days.

Please note that this pass grants access to all Marché du Film booths and pavilions, but does not provide access to Marché or Festival screenings.

The cost is €120 (VAT included) per day per person, plus an environmental contribution of €24 (incl. VAT).

This pass is only available onsite at the Registration Office (Gare Maritime, just outside the Palais des Festivals).

SCREENINGS

What are the access conditions for Marché du Film screenings?

Screenings at the Marché du Film generally prioritize attendees with a Priority Badge, followed by those with a Marché du Film badge.

Screenings may also be announced with the following access restrictions:

  • Priority Badge only: restricted to Priority Badge holders
  • By invitation only: invitations are issued by the company organizing the screening
  • Open to Press: Press badge holders can access the screening

How do I access the screenings in Cannes?

During the Marché du Film, entrance control for screening rooms is managed by Marché du Film staff. They ensure compliance with the priority access and security conditions established by the Marché. Any company that has booked screenings must adhere to these rules and is not authorized to interfere with audience entry.

IMPORTANT: Access to the Palais and the Riviera is restricted to accreditated badge holders (Marché, Festival, Daily). A ticket from the Screenings Department alone does not grant entry to these areas.

Where can I find information about films and screenings?

FESTIVAL ONLINE TICKET OFFICE

Are there festival tickets for sale?

The tickets obtained through the online ticket office may be presented in a printed manner or electronically. They are strictly personal and the selling of tickets is forbidden. Proceedings may be taken against offenders.

When does the Festival ticket office open?

Online ticketing for the 79th Festival de Cannes will open on 5 May 2026. Reservations will be available from 8 May 2026.

How do I access the ticket office?

Only those with accreditation for the Festival, Marché or parallel sections (Directors’ Fortnight, Semaine de la Critique, ACID and Cannes Cinéma) may access the online ticket office.

You can connect by means of a personal username and password that you have received by email following confirmation of your accreditation.

When can I reserve a screening?

For each screening, and depending on your type of accreditation, which determines the availability times for the tickets, reservations open between 4 days and 10 minutes before the screening. Tickets may be made available at any time during this period.

The only exception: for screenings at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, reservations can be made up to 1 hour before the start of the screening.

What should I do if I have problems on the online ticket office?

Starting Monday, 4 May 2026, from 9:00 to 18:00, customer support will be available by e-mail at tickets@festival-cannes.fr.

And starting Tuesday, 12 May 2026, the ticket office will also be open from 9:00 to 18:00 in the Hall Méditerranée.

How do I use my e-ticket?

When you obtain a ticket, it is visible online and thereby confirms your reservation. The ticket’s QR code, required for entry into the theatre, is generated the night before the screening and a PDF of the ticket will be sent to you at the same time. For a same-day screening, the QR code is immediately visible and a PDF of the ticket is made available several minutes later.

You can enter the theatre by presenting the ticket on your smartphone or you can print a copy of the ticket.

I didn’t obtain a ticket for a screening. Is it still possible for me to attend?

If you did not obtain a ticket for a screening, you can go to the “last minute” access area with your Festival or Marché badge. In 2023, 10,000 seats were allocated thanks to these last minute queues. At the Cineum, a majority of festival attendees who showed up to a screening, even without a ticket, were able to see the film.

I can’t attend a screening, should I cancel?

All tickets received must be used.

In the event you are unable to attend, you must return your ticket to your distribution office (if your accreditation links you to an office) or to the Central Ticket Office, Hall Méditerranée. If you have obtained an electronic ticket, all you need to do is cancel it in your ticket office account.

Failure to do so will lead to the following consequences: starting in 2024, after 2 no shows from an accredited attendee, his or her ability to reserve tickets will be automatically blocked for a period of 24 hours.

Tickets must be given back or cancelled at least 1 hour before the screeningThese rules do not apply to journalists.
