The Streamers Forum Returns to Cannes Welcoming Prime Video, Max and Crunchyroll for Its 2025 Edition!

The Marché du Film is excited to announce the return of the Streamers Forum, a one-day panel event where industry experts will come together to discuss the latest trends in the world of streamers and share their vision for the future of streaming.

This year’s forum will feature exclusive discussions with returning leading streaming services such as Prime Video and Max, and will welcome Crunchyroll for the first time on the Marché du Film conference stage. Topics will include film production, content strategy, and the challenges and opportunities of launching a new streaming service.

From the evolution of French theatrical releases to platform expansion in Europe and the global rise of anime, these expert sessions will explore how today’s top streamers are navigating shifting audience habits, cross-industry collaborations, and the cultural impact of streaming content.

Here’s what’s in store:

  • Prime Video steps into the limelight with an exclusive conversation on their first French theatrical production, Ma Mère, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan, and a behind-the-scenes look at the Amazon Original Carjackers. Expect key insights from the teams at Gaumont, Amazon MGM Studios, and Egerie Productions.
  • Max celebrates a milestone year in France! Clément Schwebig, President at Warner Bros. Discovery, will reflect on Max’s game-changing launch and share what’s ahead as the platform prepares to conquer Germany in 2026.
  • Crunchyroll brings the anime wave to Cannes. Senior VP Mitchel Berger dives into how anime is capturing hearts globally, shaping Gen Z & Alpha culture, and turning passion into a worldwide lifestyle.

The Streamers Forum will take place on 18 May 2025 at the Plage des Palmes (Goéland Beach, La Croisette).
