🎪 Pavilion Design Award Winners Announced at Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes

The winners of the 3rd edition of the Pavilion Design Award were announced today during the Marché du Film — Festival de Cannes.

The aim of the prize is to highlight the involvement and creativity of the many institutions who have their home in Cannes, in the Village International, during the 10 days of the Marché.

This year’s jury was composed of Iris Knobloch (President of the Festival de Cannes), Rita Goegebeur (former director of Flanders Image), Marilyne Letertre (journalist at Madame Figaro) and Rosalie Varda (CEO of Ciné-Tamaris).

They visited 25 pavilions and awarded the following prizes:

  • The “Coup de Coeur” prize went out to Colombia for the smartness and heartful organization of the space, which featured special handmade paintings.
  • The “Prix de l’Envie” went out to Latvia for their unique design and use of wood, which immediately captivates the eye of visitors.
  • The “Grand Prix 2023” was awarded to Israel, whose pavilion and organization impressed the jury. Israel effectively showcased both contemporary and classic films in a modern, efficient and powerful manner. It was impactful, thoughtful and all about the cinema.

A warm thought was also given to the Ukraine Pavilion and their efforts to be present at this year’s edition despite the turmoil in their country.

These pavilions are a key part of the festival & market experience, and the winners this year are a testament to the incredible talent and ingenuity on display at the Marché du Film, year after year. Congratulations again to the winners!
