💫 2022 Frontières Platform Selection “Gnomes” Gets Picked Up by Sony Pictures
Frontières Platform, the leading industry initiative for genre film professionals, is proud to announce that its previous project selection “Gnomes” has just been acquired by Sony Pictures, as announced by Deadline.
Organized by Fantasia Film Festival and the Marché du Film, Frontières Platform is an international co-production market & networking platform specifically focused on genre film financing and co-production between Europe and North America.
Dutch filmmakers Richard Raaphorst and Ruwan Heggelman presented their horror film project at the 2022 Frontières Platform in Cannes during its Proof of Concept presentation, where genre film professionals were able to pitch their projects in advanced financing stages in front of prospective financiers, sales agents and distributors.
In the end, Sony Pictures landed the rights earlier this year in a competitive deal, and the project is currently in early development with production company 21 Laps Entertainment producing.
