Fantastic 7, discover the fantastic genre
Fantastic 7 is a common initiative of the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia and international expert Bernardo Bergeret. Fantastic 7 has been created to foster emerging talents and connect with potential business partners by creating a privileged space for dialogue and reflexion supported by top-notch fantastic international film festivals.
Seven fantastic film festivals will be taking part in the adventure : Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara, International Film Festivals & Awards-Macao, SXSW South by Southwest and theToronto International Film Festival TIFF. Each festival will endorse a fantastic project which will be presented during a unique pitching session held on Sunday, May 19 from 12 :00 to 14 :00 in the Palais K in the Palais des Festivals.
For this first edition, Fantastic 7 is thrilled to welcome acclaimed Spanish filmmaker Juan Antonio Bayona as a Godfather.
The Fantastic 7 pitching session is open to all Marché attendees upon presentation of their accreditation.
