Synopsis:

One day Goreng wakes up with his future colleague Trimagasi in the 33rd level of a prison style place, crossed by a hole where a platform descends with meal remains left from the tenants from higher levels. Trimagasi knows the rules that govern this mysterious place: two people per level and an unknown number of them. If you go upwards you survive… but think too much and you will descend again. If you are in the bottom where the food barely arrives, you cannot trust anyone except your guts.

Director’s biography:

Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia is a Bilbao-based film director and producer. His short The House of the Lake earned multiple international awards, and he produced the acclaimed feature The Glass Coffin. He gained global recognition with his debut The Platform (2019), a dystopian sci-fi thriller that premiered at Toronto and won major awards at Sitges, establishing him internationally.

Synopsis:

A murderous, flesh-eating undead young girl haunting the remote stretch of woods where she was murdered decades earlier, discovers a kidnapped and abused boy hiding in the trunk of one of her victim’s cars. Her decision to let the boy live throws her aggressively solitary existence into upheaval and ultimately forces her to re-examine just how much of her humanity her murderer was able to destroy.

Justin Lange is a screenwriter and director with an MFA in film directing from the Columbia University Graduate Film Program. He only wears red shoes. His third feature film The Visitor, which he directed for Blumhouse Television and MGM+, was released in 2022. He previously wrote and directed The Seventh Day, starring Guy Pearce, Stephen Lang and Keith David; and The Dark, his critically-acclaimed and award-winning feature film debut which had its world premiere at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival.

Josef Hader, born in 1962, began his career as a professional cabaret artist in 1985. He has received all major German-language cabaret awards. Since the early 1990s, Hader has repeatedly worked successfully in film as an actor and screenwriter, and more recently also as a director. With his directorial debut Wild Mouse for which he also wrote the screenplay and played the lead role. In 2024, Andrea gets a divorce was very successful in cinemas in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
