Synopsis:

At the dawn of the new millennium, two distant destinies collide on an unspoiled stretch of coastline in southern Sardinia.
Efisio Mulas is a solitary shepherd, silent guardian of a time that seems no longer to exist. He has always lived there, between the sea and his animals, in the small house where he was born.
On the other side stands Giacomo, president of a powerful real estate group, symbol of an Italy racing toward the future. He is determined to transform that coast into a luxury resort.

Director’s biography:

Riccardo Milani began his career as an assistant director for Monicelli, Moretti, and Luchetti, and made his directorial debut with Auguri Professore. He has made numerous film and television hits, including La guerra degli Antò, Benvenuto Presidente!, Scusate se esisto!, Mamma o papà?, Come un gatto in tangenziale, Corro da te, Grazie ragazzi, Un mondo a parte, and the documentaries Nel nostro cielo un rombo di tuono and Io, Noi e Gaber. He has won numerous awards, including six Nastri Argento and three Biglietti Oro. His latest film, La vita va così, opened the Rome Film Fest.
