Synopsis:

Vicky is fisherman by day and bar owner at night. When she was a little boy her dream was to be a radio soap opera star, nowadays she dreams of falling in love again. How is it possible that a small, barren place in the third world has managed to achieve this special form of freedom and tolerance?

Guayaquil, 1977.
His shorts SILENCIO NUCLEAR (2002) and VIDA DEL AHORCADO (2004) were presented, respectively, in Venice and Locarno.
SIN OTOÑO, SIN PRIMAVERA (2012) is his first feature film. Was presented in 30 festivals and in theaters in France. In 2012 he directed a documentary for TV: LA BISABUELA TIENE ALZHEIMER (2012) Doctv award.
YELLOW SUNGLASSES (2020) is his second fiction feature. Premiered in Vancouver Film Festival and Cinequest.
THE BEACH OF THE ENCHAQUIRADOS is his 3rd feature.

Producer’s profile:

Ecuadorian documentary film producer, writer and cultural manager.
He has produced the feature documentaries ABUELOS by Carla Valencia (Nominated for Best First Feature Film at IDFA 2010), LA BISABUELA TIENE ALZHEIMER by Iván Mora Manzano (selected to represent DOCTV Latin America’s tenth anniversary Gala at FICCI) and TERRITORIO by Alexandra Cuesta (FIDMarseille, Ann Arbor, ENYFF, Viennale). His film productions have been screened at IDFA, BAFICI, É Tudo Verdade, Locarno, Traverse City, Biarritz, Havana, Toulouse, FiDocs, amongst many others.

From 2016 to 2020 he was the Director of EDOC (Encounters of the Cinema), the oldest and biggest Documentary Film Festival in Ecuador.
