Synopsis:
Eva, 50, married with two teens, feels her life change after meeting Alex in Rome and rediscovering the thrill of love. Back in Barcelona, she secretly decides to leave her husband and start over, seeking passion and independence. When her family learns the truth, they’re shocked. Though Alex is unavailable, Eva spends a year navigating single life, chasing romance and a second chance at love.

Cesc Gay was born in 1967 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He is a writer and director, known for Truman (2015), The People Upstairs (2020), Stories Not To Be Told (2022), and Nico and Dani (2000), among other films. His new film, My Friend Eva, will have its theatrical release in 2025 and will be distributed both in Spain and nationally by Filmax.
