The New Era of Festivals: Expanding beyond Hybrid

Festivals are looking to broaden their work to year-round activities, with COVID having been a major catalyst in these reflections. To help those that are looking to expand but are undecided on how to do so, we have brought together a panel of four festivals that have already been doing year-round activities for a number of years. Come learn from fellow festivals, what has worked and what hasn’t, and their advice to others looking to grow their activities.
This event will be followed by an invitation-only Stand-up Lunch sponsored by Artinii (invitations will be handed directly to the members of the audience).

A special look will be given to the new Green Charter, an initiative of the Moving Image-Open Border Film Festival Network, supported by MEDIA Creative Europe.

Au lendemain de la pandémie, les festivals de films francophones s’unissent dans le cadre du lancement de « La Concorde », un nouveau réseau basé sur les échanges de bonnes pratiques et la mise en place de stratégies communes en faveur de la promotion de l’exception culturelle francophone et la circulation des talents de la relève au sein de cet espace prometteur. Dans ce contexte, quelles sont les grandes questions de société auxquelles les festivals de films francophones font face et comment ces derniers réagissent-ils pour intégrer ces grands sujets contemporains à leurs programmations ?

Strengthening Our Industry Core: A Conversation between Sales and Festivals

What makes for a good relationship between sales agents and festivals? Europa International, the European organization for International film sales agents, and Europa Film Festivals, a network of 12 European festivals, have developed a guide aimed at defining functions and good practice to strengthen the relationship between sales and festivals. A few weeks before the final delivery, these associations will present a work-in-progress document and discuss its merits.
