The Marché du Film is expanding its commitment to film music composers with the launch of a brand-new 2026 pilot program, designed to spotlight a new generation of talent: Composers on the Rise.
Building on the success of Spot the Composer, the initiative will select 5 early-career composers already registered or planning to attend the Festival de Cannes or Marché du Film, providing them with a unique platform to showcase their music, connect with film professionals, and explore new creative opportunities.
Selected participants will take part in one-on-one meetings with short film directors, a case study session with one of our Spot the Composer alumni, and a private masterclass with a renowned film composer, offering hands-on guidance and an in-depth look at the craft of film scoring.
Each participant will also receive a FREE one-year subscription to DISCO — the program’s official music management platform partner, plus a special gift from Roland — a world-leading music instrument and software company, including a voucher and a subscription to Roland Cloud Ultimate, giving them access to a full suite of professional music tools to support their creative work.
The Composers on the Rise selection will be announced at the end of April.
